ILOILO CITY – A barangay “tanod” or watchman yielded suspected shabu and an unlicensed firearm and grenade in a buy-bust operation in San Enrique town, Iloilo province on Sunday, August 20.
Police identified the suspect as John Paul Eulatriz Baclagon of Barangay Bagacay, San Enrique.
The 23-year-old Baclagon was arrested after he sold shabu to a police poseur-buyer. Almost two grams of shabu worth P20,000 were seized from Baclagon.
Also seized from Baclagon were a .22 caliber revolver and grenade.
Police said Baclagon is a street-level drug pusher. Aside from drug charges, Baclagon is also facing a case for violating Republic Act No. 10591 (illegal possession of firearms) and Republic Act No. 9516 (illegal possession of explosives).
The Police Regional Office (PRO-6) led by Police Birg. Gen. Sidney Villaflor lauded the arrest of Baclagon.
