BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office-13 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-13 confiscated P306,000 worth of shabu and arrested seven suspected drug pushers the implementation of search warrants on August 17.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said a 45-year-old high-value target was arrested after operatives seized 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 20 grams with a standard drug price of P130,000 and other drug paraphernalia in Barangay San Vicente, this city.
The operation against this high-value target was based on Search Warrant No. 2023-08-16-01 issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 33, 10th Judicial Region, Butuan City.
Three high-value individuals were also arrested during the implementation of Search Warrant No. 2023-08-15-02 issued by RTC Branch 2, Butuan City.
The suspects were nabbed by the PRO-13 and PDEA-13 in Upper Doongan, this city. Confiscated from the suspects were five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams worth P102,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Three more high-value targets were arrested in Barangay Baan, this city. They yielded 21 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams with a standard drug price of P68,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
"Our fight against illegal drugs knows no boundaries and our determination remains steadfast,” Kraft said.
“I assure the public that our police operations are carried out within the bounds of the law giving respect to human rights," Kraft added.
Suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
