Kristel Fulgar on hosting gig controversy: 'Mag-move on na tayo'

Kristel Fulgar found herself at the center of controversy recently after she was dropped as host of South Korean star Seo In-guk' fan meet.

She is now urging everyone to move on from the issue.

On Facebook, the former child star uploaded a video with the caption: "Let’s just end this here."

So bakit ako ang kinuha?

"Di agad ako nag-yes kasi alam ko yung kapasidad ko," she related, noting how she has zero experience in hosting and the closest she did was delivering spiels on "ASAP."

"Alam kong magiging super challenging sa akin."

Despite her reservations about her hosting abilities, she eventually agreed after receiving overwhelming support from the Filipino community of Seo In-guk's fans.

"Du'n ako napa-yes," she said.

Note that in a vlog, Kristel revealed that she was supposedly replaced because she didn't give her 100 percent during rehearsal.

But she explained how she woke up at 5 in the morning as call time was around 7 a.m.

They then did the rehearsal at 8:30 a.m. and had three runs.

Kristel said during those practices, somebody could have called her out so that she could adjust.

"Walang ganu'n.

This text also appeared in the clip: "The show starts at 7pm so I was trying to save my energy and my voice for the actual event. I knew that hosting is different from singing so I was trying to be careful not o overuse my voice."

Kristel, meanwhile, reiterated that the Filipino director and local organizer tried to negotiate with a certain Korean technical director to not replace her as host.

Okay na, I'll give way wag lang magkagulo."

Though, Kristel admitted that in her more than 20 years in showbiz, it was the first time that she released a statement about something.

She reiterated that after all, she's not primarily motivated by financial gain. As a fan, she just wanted the show to be "successful."

Kristel also cleared she didn't ask for a second chance, but she expected one, considering that some ticket buyers were her fans.

In any case, she assured her followers that all is well.

If ever, she's just happy about having a one-on-one interaction with Seo In-guk backstage, which she shared in a recent vlog.
