Gasoline station attendant hurt in blast

IGUIG, Cagayan – A gasoline station attendant was injured after a vehicle rammed a gasoline station and caused an explosion in Barangay Bayo, this town, on August 19.

Initial investigation said the vehicle driven by Debbie Marlon Trinidad, 35, arrived to refuel but accidentally hit pump attendant Randy Bulaquit, 35, and a gasoline dispenser that triggered an explosion and a fire.

Bulaquit sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. 

Police said Trinidad was drunk and his vehicle and the gasoline station incurred heavy damage with undetermined cost.
