LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Commission on Elections-Albay and Legazpi City conducted a mall voting simulation in preparation for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in October.
This was held at SM City-Legazpi on Saturday which was participated in by at least 50 registered voters of Barangay Kapantawan here.
Comelec-Albay provincial election supervisor Maria Aurea Bo-Bunao said that Barangay Kapantawan was identified by Comelec for mall voting during the BSKE due to its manageable voting population.
The voting precinct of registered voters in Barangay Kapantawan was previously assigned to Ibalon Elementary School and will be transferred to SM City-Legazpi.
"Ito po ay pilot testing. Dito sa Legazpi naging matagumpay ‘yung mock voting and hopefully by next elections gagawin na rin ito sa iba pang mga malls," Bo-Bunao added.
A survey form was also given to voters after they have voted to know their response.
So far, naging maayos lahat," Bu-Bunao said.
