Parañaque LGU inks MOA with homeowners association for ownership of occupied lot
The Parañaque city government and the homeowners association in Barangay San Dionisio signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) which gives the residents a chance to own the lot they are occupying.
Mayor Eric Olivarez, on behalf of the city government, signed the MOA with Estelita Castrence, president of the Mary Queen of Peace Homeowners Association (MQPHA), at Lim Compound in Barangay San Dionisio on August 19.
Olivarez said the 10,000-square meter lot was bought by the city government from VM Realty Corporation for P65 million on 2016.
He said the MOA will give the 284 families, who have been occupying the lot for so long, to pay the property at a lower price so they can own it soon.
The mayor also said the agreement was made possible with the help of Local Housing Development Office head Engr. Oscar Fernandez and Urban Mission Areas Development Office Officer-in-Charge Shella Bernal.
