After being called out by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for uttering profane words on national television, comedian and television host Wally Bayola is still in the process of making deals with the board on their hearing last Aug. 14.

During the press conference of his newest show with Jose Manalo, "Wow Mali Doble Tama," Wally shared a few updates regarding the incident.

"May pag-uusap po sa MTRCB at sa production. Siyempre, hindi po ako puwedeng magbigay ng salaysay at I want to keep it privately kasi nga, ongoing pa ‘yung pag-uusap,” Wally said.

(There is still a meeting with the MTRCB and the production. Of course, I can't give a story, and I want to keep it privately because the case meeting is still ongoing)

Although he made a public apology for his actions, Wally also shared that he is willing to do anything to make things all right for their show.

"Kung ano pa po yung further na pwedeng gawin pa, willing naman po ako para dun," he added.

(If there is anything further that can be done, I am willing to do that)

Manalo, his long-time friend and co-host, has also agreed to take full responsibility for his actions and not let the issue take any longer.

"Dapat lang na ganun kasi kung patatagalin pa natin, kung may kasalanan ka mag sorry ka, wala namang masama ehhh, and hindi nakakabawas ng pagkatao ang paghingi ng sorry," Jose said.

(It should be like that because if we take it any longer, if you're guilty, say sorry, there's nothing wrong with it, and apologizing doesn't diminish one's personality)

Last Aug. 11, MTRCB issued a complaint notice to the show's producers after Wally shouted an "utterance of profane words" during the live segment of their noontime show "E.A.T."

On the complaint, MTRCB filed the violation under Section 2 (B), Chapter IV of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Presidential Decree No. 1986, which, it said, could actually merit "suspension or cancellation of permits and/or licenses issued by the Board and/or with the imposition of fines and other administrative penalty/penalties."

Being comic duo for almost 20 years

Starting their comedic duo in the 2000s, Jose and Wally joked about becoming a husband and wife since they've known each other for a long time.

"Hindi naman kami nagkakasawaan, alam ko na nga pabango nito, actually kapag nilagyan mo ng "a" yung sawa, parang mag-asawa na yan, at magkaibigan ganun na yung meron kami," Jose said.

(We never get tired of each other, I already know this perfume, actually it's like were husband and wife, friends at the same time)

Despite being on different projects throughout their career, the duo always finds a way to work on projects together.

"Nagsosolo naman si Jose, may show siya before and ako rin naman nagkaroon ng gameshow kasama si Paolo, so okay lang naman. Hindi naman namin pinaguusapan na nakapackage kami, pero as long as kailangan na magkasama kami mas okay," Wally said.

(Jose had a solo show before, and I also had a gameshow with Paolo, so it's okay. We don't always talked about that we're packaged, but as long as we need to be together, that is better)

Being announced as the newest host for T.V. 5's longest-running and multi-awarded prank show, "Wow Mali: Doble Tama," Jose and Wally personally asked the original host Joey de Leon for his blessing to do the project.

"Tinanong muna namin agad kung alam ba ito ni Tito Joey, so bago namin tanggapin, nagpasintabi muna kami sa kanya and umokay naman si Boss Joey nung nagsabi kami," Jose said.

(We immediately asked if Tito Joey knew this, so before we accepted it, we asked for his permission, and Boss Joey gladly said yes when we asked him)

Recognized as the country's original prank show on T.V., "Wow Mali" was a big hit among Filipinos when it first aired in 1996. Packed with hilarious 'candid camera' pranks and matched with the witty hosting of seasoned prank master Joey De Leon, the show instantly became a household term for practical jokes, hilarious bloopers, and naughty tricks.

On Aug. 26, the show will be making its grand comeback with the wackiest comedy duo and now its new Prankmasters, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.

Co-produced by A.P.T. Entertainment & Cignal TV for TV5, "Wow Mali: Doble Tama" is set to bring a double-dose of laughter and surprises with its new-generation humor, zanier segments, and outrageous parodies.
