Pasig gov't opens registration for heritage, culinary tour
Local and foreign tourists can now sign up to see the sights and taste the flavors of Pasig City in its inaugural Heritage and Culinary Tour, which will launch on Aug. 27.

The Pasig City Public Information Office (PIO) said only 20 slots are open for each guided walking tour, with later dates soon to be announced.
The registration will follow a first come, first served basis.
The limit to the number of participants per tour was implemented to ensure the manageability of the tour and help make it a more immersive and focused experience for each individual.
The registration fee is P250 per person, inclusive of entrance fees for the Museo Diocesano and Colegio del Buen Consejo; and payment for food samplers that will be provided to the participants.
Each of the tourists will also be given a 450th “Araw ng Pasig” Tour Kit to use during the tour and as a souvenir.
Interested individuals may register for the tour through this link. It will also provide additional information such as payment options and guidelines for participants during the tour.
The tour is estimated to last for three or more hours, starting at around 8 to 9 a.m.

The walking tour will begin at the SPED Walkway, with its first stop at the Pasig City Learning Resource Center Grounds where the World War II Monument, Lope K. Santos Statue, and Bantayog ng Wika can be seen.
It will move through the Gabaldon Building at the Pasig Central Elementary School, the Valentin Cruz Statue via San Nicolas, and Bitukang Manok via Dimanlig Street.
From there the Plaza Familia, Plaza Bonifacio can be visited, with an optional to Dimas-Alang Bakery.
Afterwards, visitors will be taken to the Museo Diocesano, Colegio del Buen Consejo, Beaterio de Sta. Rita de Pasig, Plaza Rizal, Concepcion Mansion, and will end at Bahay ng Tisa.
The program was made and organized by the Office of the City Mayor at Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office, in partnership with the Kabataang Tambuli ng Pasig, caretakers of the city’s heritage properties, church officials, and business owners of local Pasig food establishments.
The Heritage and Culinary Tour is part of Pasig’s year-long celebrations of the city’s 450th founding anniversary.
