P1-M shabu seized in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – A man previously convicted for a drug offense was arrested again in a buy-bust operation in which 153 grams of of suspected shabu worth P1,040,400 was seized in Barangay Vista Alegre here on Saturday, August 19.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) identified the suspect as Alfredo Aplasca Jr., 57, of Barangay Vista Alegre.

Also confiscated from him were the P1,000 marked money and P150.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said the suspect was previously arrested for the same offense and was released from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City last year after he had served his sentence.

Mogato said that Aplasca’s name came out after the apprehension of Michael Frias who yielded shabu worth P14.3 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Vista Alegre on August 10.

He said the houses of the two suspects are near each other but they are not yet sure if Aplasca’s illegal drugs were sourced out from Frias.

Drug charges are being readied against Aplasca who is detained at the Police Station 7.
