Mixer truck pulls down electrical cables, post in Sampaloc

A mixer truck accidentally pulled down an electrical post in Sampaloc, Manila on Sunday morning, Aug. 20. 
 
The electrical post on the Legarda flyover in Barangay 410, Zone 42, District 4 reportedly collapsed at around 4 a.m.
 
According to barangay personnel, the mixer truck was passing the road when it accidentally pulled the tangled wires connected to the said post, which caused it to fall to the ground.

The cable wires of internet and telephone cables also dropped to the ground. 
 
Authorities said they confiscated the truck driver's license and brought him to the police station for investigation.
 
Meanwhile, barangay personnel temporarily placed long woods to support the cables and allow the small vehicles to pass.

They said the road is currently impassable for big vehicles.
 
As of 2 p.m., linemen were dispatched to the area internet to fix the fallen post.
