Guico wants Pangasinan as investment hub

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Gov. Ramon V. Guico III wants to promote the province as an investment hub, Special Assistant to the Governor Von Mark Mendoza bared during the Board of Investments-Investments Assistance Service BOI-Lokal at the Provincial Training and Development Center I here.

Mendoza, who represented Guico, said that investment is among the flagship program of the governor.

For now, he said they are in the process of strengthening the investment office to become a working arm or partner of the BOI.

Among the initiatives of the governor to strengthen the position of Pangasinan as investment program include the creation of a dedicated office to assist would-be investors, building a Pangasinan Link Expressway (PLEX), and an airport.

The two-day forum from August 17 to 18 had the theme “Linangin ang Obligasyon at Kakayahan Tungo sa Aktibo at Lokal na Pamumunuhan.”
