A parade of the town’s higantes or giants which are the iconic symbols of the Art Capital of the Country, the offering of fruit bearing seedlings, and a cultural presentation marked the 85th Angono Day 2023 held during the weekend.

Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon and Vice Mayor Gerardo Calderon led local officials and employees, students, community leaders, and individuals in seedling offering activity at the foot of the statue of former President Manuel L. Quezon outside the municipal hall in Angono.
Seedlings and cuttings of fruit-bearing trees such as star apple and kalamansi and other high-value fruits were offered during the initial program to celebrate the signing of the law by then Pres. Quezon that separated the Art Capital of the Country from Binangonan.
Sports achievers were also honored during the Angono Day event to signify the town as the home of the higantes, or the giants, or individuals who have brought honor to the town and its residents.
The higantes joined the morning parade on the streets by the municipal officials and employees, students, and employees of government agencies and drum and lyre groups.
