Relief operations continue for flooding victims in Bulacan

Relief efforts for the victims of massive flooding in the province of Bulacan continue, according to Governor Daniel R. Fernando. The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) led by Fernando and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) conducted relief operations in different areas of the province affected by flooding brought about by enhanced monsson rains. Fernando was assisted by PSWDO department head Rowena Joson Tiongson and Calumpit Mayor Lem Faustino in the distribution of food packs. Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, Lt. Col.Nelson M. Sardin, acting police chief in Calumpit, Lt. Col. Reyson M. Bagain, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) commander, and his personnel provided security. The series of relief operations were conducted in the villages of Gatbuca, San Marcos, Calizon, Frances, Poblacion, Balungao, and Corazon, wherein more than 7,000 thousand families received food packs. Earlier, Senator Joel Villanueva turned over 1,000 food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Hagonoy, Calumpit, and Paombong. The mayors of Hagonoy, Calumpit, and Paombong also received each P1 million cheque through the assistance to individuals in crisis situations (AICS) from Senator Villanueva.
