Man hurt in Tondo stabbing incident; suspect hunted
Operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) are hunting down the suspect who repeatedly stabbed a 27-year-old man in Barangay 101, Tondo, Manila, on Wednesday, August 2.
The MPD said the suspect, alias "Marvin", immediately fled after stabbing Cliford Mariano, a resident of NBBS Proper, Navotas City.
Based on initial police investigation, the victim was standing at a center island at Road 10, Katuparan at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday when the suspect suddenly appeared from behind and stabbed him several times.
Investigators said Mariano was rushed by witnesses to Tondo Medical Hospital where he is under observation.
Police are conducting follow-up operations to arrest the suspect.
