Embracing the spirit of “Visit Korea 2023-2024,” a tourism initiative declared by the Korean government, the KCC dedicates the months of August and September to promote tourism in Korea through a series of events.

The “Mga Kuha sa Korea” photo exhibit serves as a compelling invitation for Filipinos to explore the enchanting landscapes, vibrant cities, and unique cultural offerings of South Korea.

Visitors to the exhibit will see a different array of photography sections, each designed to cater to different interests and preferences.

For nature enthusiasts, there are sections dedicated to the four seasons, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of Korea's landscapes as they transform throughout the year.

In addition, a dedicated section celebrates Korean food, including distinct specialties from various regions, offering a feast for the eyes and a treat for the palate.

Additionally, the 2030 Busan World Expo section highlights the Korean government’s bid to host the event, showcasing Busan, an industrial and cultural powerhouse of Korea. The section provides a sneak peek into the innovative and vibrant spirit of the Expo, piquing the curiosity of visitors from the Philippines.

Film enthusiasts will find themselves delighted with the inclusion of the 2023 Korean Film Festival section, themed "travel." Through carefully selected films, the KCC aims to transport viewers to different cities and provinces of Korea, allowing them to experience the country's essence through the mesmerizing world of cinema. More details about the 2023 Korean Film Festival will be announced soon.

The exhibit also features the finalists' entries from the "I Was Here: Mga Kuha sa Korea" contest, where participants shared one of the fondest memories from their Korea trip. The contest winner will also be awarded during the exhibit's grand opening on Aug. 17.

KCC Director Kim Myeongjin said, "Through this exhibit, we hope to be able to bring Korea a bit closer to you," encapsulating the essence of the exhibit's mission.

With the hopes of making travel to Korea more accessible to many people, the Korean Embassy is also launching the Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC), which will start operating on Aug. 14 at the Brittany Hotel in Bonifacio Global Center, Taguig.
