Korean series 'D.P.' season 2 debuts on Netflix's weekly Global Top 10 list
The anticipated Korean series “D.P.” season 2, starring Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan, made its debut on Netflix’s weekly Global Top 10 of the most watched shows and films on the streaming platform.
“D.P.” is about a team of deserter pursuit (DP) in the Korean military police tasked to bring back recruits who abandon their military units. Season 2 highlights abuses and bullying among those who enlist in the military service, and cover-up of cases by military officials.

Netflix’s Global Top 10 released the most watched TV shows and films from July 24 to 30. “D.P” season 2 was released on July 28 and in just three days, it debuted at No. 5 on the non-English TV list with 15 million hours viewed or 2.8 million views during the coverage period. It landed in the top 10 in seven countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea (No. 1), Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. In comparison, season 1 of “D.P.” was released on Aug. 27, 2021 and it entered the Global Top 10 for the first time at No. 7 with 8.43 million hours viewed during the coverage period from Aug. 23 to 29, 2021. “D.P.” season 2 also stars Kim Sung-kyun, Son Suk-ku, Kim Ji-hyun and Ji Jin-hee. On the non-English TV list, the Korean drama “King the Land,” starring Lee Junho and Yoona, ranked third with 64.5 million hours viewed or 4 million total views to be in the top 10 for the seventh week.
