'It is really good': EU leader enjoys taste of Choc Nut

From European Union Ambassador to the Philippines Luc Veron’s #MeriendaNiLuc series, European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen got a taste of Filipino sweet Choc Nut.

In a video tweet, the ambassador showed Von der Leyen eating the traditional Filipino chocolate snack.
“Introduced President @vonderleyen to the delectable world of Choc Nut!,” he wrote.
The EC president was in the Philippines from July 31 to Aug. 1 for a series of meeting upon the invitation of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In the video, she was heard telling Veron, “It is really good.”
The EU ambassador had been sampling Filipino snacks for his #MeriendaNiLuc series of tweets. Among the snacks he had tasted were pichi-pichi, Choco Mallows, and minasa.
“This Filipino gem is more than a sweet treat; it's a nostalgic delight that brings people together,” he said about Choc Nut in his post.
He also shared photos of the EC president with the EU delegation in the Philippines, as well as a photo of the famed Choc Nut.
While in the Philippines, Von der Leyen met with Marcos to discuss EU’s Global Gateway and the negotiations for the country’s status as a preferred trade partner of the regional bloc.
