The police dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested five people in an operation in Taguig on Aug. 2.Â
The joint anti-illegal drug operation was conducted by the Southern Police District (SPD) units and the Taguig police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Southern District Office (PDEA-SDO) on Cuasay Street, Barangay North Signal Village in Taguig.Â

SPD chief Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano identified the suspects as Maria Elaine Alcala (under surety bond), 34; Realym Recardo, 29; Tracy Bersuela (under probation), 21; Joan Mae Trilles, 24; and Mark Edison Olalo, 24. Seized during the operation were nine plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 20 grams with an estimated value of P140,080, P500 bill used as buy-bust money and one cell phone. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).Â
