Bulacan cops net P105,000 shabu, 15 drug suspects, wanted men


The Bulacan police confiscated P105,000 worth of alleged shabu and collared 14 drug and carnapping suspects and a wanted man in a series of anti-criminality operations on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 1 and 2.

In reports submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the Plaridel police conducted a successful drug sting operation in Brgy. Banga 1st  at about 12:15 a.m. on August 1.

During the operation, approximately 5.5 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug Price (SDP) of about P37,400, along with the marked money, were confiscated by operatives from two suspects.

The suspects were identified as Michael Angelo Ramos and Jean Pagkalinawan, both of Barangay Banga 1st, Plaridel.

A series of drug buy-bust operations was also conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of San Miguel, City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), Balagtas, Pulilan, and Norzagaray police.

Eleven suspects were arrested during the drug stings and confiscated from them were an additional P67,800 worth of suspected shabu, marked money.

All arrested individuals and the confiscated pieces of evidence were taken to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination. Criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Distribution and transportation of dangerous drugs) against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

On Tuesday, August 1, JR Joaquin, a man wanted for the crime of murder, was arrested by the tracker teams of San Miguel police in Barangay Paliwasan, San Miguel by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 12, City of Malolos, Bulacan.

In Brgy. San Martin 1, CSJDM, prompt police action resulted in the successful recovery of a stolen motorcycle and in the arrest of the suspect, identified as Bestmark Tagalog, 23, of the said village.

A criminal complaint has been filed against the suspect, police said.
