Pangasinan logs 1,090 dengue cases from January 1 to August 14
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – This province recorded a total of 1,090 dengue cases from January 1 to August 14, 2023.
The Pangasinan Provincial Health Office said most patients were children aged one to 14-years-old.
Rural sanitary inspectors in every town are checking possible mosquito infestations.
The PHO is distributing insecticide sprays and mosquito nets.
The PHO is also monitoring cities and towns with high cases of dengue – Bayambang, Balungao, Bugallon, Calasiao, Malasiqui, Manaoag, San Carlos City, Umingan, and Urdaneta City.
It reminded the public to practice the 5S strategy – Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites, Self-protection measures by wearing long clothes, Seek early consultation, Support fogging, and Sustain hydration – against dengue.
