Imee distributes P10-M aid to 1,000 students affected by 'Egay'

LAL-LO, Cagayan – Sen. Imee Marcos, accompanied by Gov. Manuel Mamba and Mayor Florante Pascual, distributed educational assistance to youths affected by typhoon “Egay” in this town on Friday, August 18.

A thousand beneficiaries from Gonzaga, Santa Teresita, this town, Abulug, Santa Ana, Sanchez Mira, Aparri, Ballesteros, and Calayan, received P10,000 each.

Marcos said that it is appropriate to provide assistance to these students affected by Egay.

“Naisip ko dahil kailangan magbigay tayo ng tulong, uray kasanu kaadu ti problema ikalikaguman tayu latta ti balun mapan agbasa dagiti anak tayu. Kailangan ng pera pang matrikula. You've been through a lot dahil na rin sa two hanggang three years na pandemya; mahal na bilihin at maraming nawalan ng trabaho (I thought of helping because even though we have a lot of problems, we always strive to give allowance to our children when they go to school. We need money for tuition. You've been through a lot because of the pandemic, prices of basic goods are expensive and many lost their jobs,” she said.
