50 Cordillera lawmen complete investigation course


BANGUED, Abra – Fifty Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) from the Police Regional Office-Cordillera are now fully trained investigators after completing the Investigation Officers Basic Course (IOBC) from May 30 to August 17.

These officers who composed Class 232-2023 received their certificates of completion in a simple closing ceremony at the Gov. Bernos Hall in Camp Col. Juan Villamor here recently.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., guest of honor and speaker representing Adrian Carlos Bersamin, assistant secretary at the Office of the Executive Secretary, awarded Police Capt. Franklin Jay Aquisio who garnered a 90.01 percent rating with the Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) for being No. 1.

The Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) was awarded to Police Capt. Davy Alilies (89.09 percent) and Police Major Dariel Bacilili (88.99 percent) for being No. 2 and 3, respectively, in the class.

Leadership awards were given to Police Major Armando Hiquiana, class marcher, and Police Major Joey Babida, class president. 

Peredo challenged them to maximize their newly learned knowledge and skills in investigation and contribute to decreasing crime volume and increasing crime solution and clearance efficiency region-wide.

"As graduates of the IOBC Course, you now bear the tremendous responsibility of upholding the law and safeguarding the well-being of our community.  Embrace continuous learning and stay updated with the latest advancement in investigative technique, remain compassionate in your dealings, and have the ability to balance toughness to make you effective and respective police officers," Peredo added.
