The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Friday, Aug. 18 said the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” will be the dominant weather system that may affect the entire archipelago in the coming week.
In its weekly weather outlook released on Friday, PAGASA said Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, Aug. 19.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
From Sunday to Monday, Aug. 20 to 21, the western section of the country will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
From Tuesday to Thursday, Aug. 22 to 24, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and western Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail elsewhere.
By Friday, Aug. 25, western Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail elsewhere.
