From becoming one of the most well-known PPop groups, SB19's main vocals, Stell is stepping out of his comfort zone by joining the roster of voice coaches on the upcoming reality talent show on GMA 7, "The Voice Generations."

During an intimate press conference last July 3, Stell mentioned that he was initially hesitant when he was offered to do the project.

"Sabi ko nga, ‘Bakit hindi si Pablo o si Ken o kahit sino sa aming lima? Pero sabi nila, parang siguro naisip nila na it’s my time para magkaroon naman ng project na masasabing bagay sa akin," Stell said.

(I said, 'Why not Pablo or Ken or any of the five of us? But they said maybe it's my time to have a project that can be suitable for me)

Earlier this month, GMA Network revealed the coaches participating in the spin-off of "The Voice."

Joining Stell are some of the most recognized and iconic Filipino artists, starting with award-winning international singer, dancer, and host Billy Crawford; multi-awarded and best-selling recording artist and Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose; and Filipino rockstar and lead singer of Parokya Ni Edgar  Chito Miranda.

He also shared that he was pressured to fill in the shoes of joining the voice coaches.

"Siyempre po kasi baguhan pa lang ako sa industry and nu’ng nalaman kong si Julie Anne, si Kuya Billy, and then si Sir Chito, siyempre mga big name na ‘yun, e, ako naman SB19 Stell pa lang naman ako. So, nakaka-pressure kasi kahit naman sabihin ko na may fandom kami, may A’TIN, iba rin siyempre ‘yung mga hatak ng mga kasama kong coaches, ma malalakas ‘yun e, mga batikan, " Stell added.

(Of course, I'm still new to the industry, and when I found out about Julie Anne, Billy, and then Sir Chito, of course, those are big names. Well, I'm still SB19 Stell. So, there's pressure because even if I say we have a fandom, we have A'TIN. Of course, the pulls of my fellow coaches are also different; they are well known)

Taking his spotlight as a first-time coach, Stell said that his co-members Pablo, Ken, Josh, and Justin had been supported since they started shooting for the singing competition.

"Parang sa group chat nga po namin laging ina-update sila kung ano na po yung nangyari sa shoot, kung anong ginagawa ko, And kahit sila, inaasar nila ako sa GC na parang, ‘Good luck today, Coach Stell!’ So happy po, nakakatuwa," Stell said.

(It's like in the group chat; I constantly update them on what happened in the shoot or what I'm doing. They sometimes tease me in the GC like, 'Good luck today, Coach Stell!' I'm just too happy and grateful for their support)

Hosted by Dingdong Dantes, "The Voice Generations" is a showcase of voices and hearts that we will see in Asia for the first time.

The show starts the season with the exciting part of the singing competition: the "Blind Auditions," where some of the country's best singing duos and groups with members from different generations try their best to be chosen among thousands of aspiring singers.

Expect the competitive spirit of the talents to run high as they bring their 'A game' to the stage to impress the coaches and make them turn their seats as a signal that the coach has chosen them. If more than one coach turns, the contestants can choose which coach they want to work with.

Don't miss "The Voice Generations" every Sunday beginning Aug. 27 on GMA Network.
