The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday, Aug. 18, announced temporary suspension of its operation on Aug. 25.

In pursuance of Memorandum Circular No. 27 issued by the Office of the President on August 15, the PRC suspends its operation within Metro Manila offices to ensure a "safe, orderly, and successful" opening of the FIBA Basketball World Cup to be held in Bulacan.

"The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the temporary suspension of work in all PRC Offices and Service Centers in Metro Manila on August 25, 2023, in order to extend its full assistance to the Philippines Sports Commission in ensuring the safe, orderly and successful conduct of the opening ceremonies of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, to be held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan," PRC said on its social media account.
Meanwhile, appointments scheduled on Aug. 25 will be accommodated on Aug. 29. (Sonny Daanoy)
