BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.3 earthquake jolted Zamboanga del Norte on Friday morning, August 18.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said earthquake was registered at 1:15 a.m. and its epicenter was 27 kilometers (kms) west of Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte.
The tremor had a depth of 10 kms, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs expects no damage or injuries and the Office of Civil Defense in Southwestern Mindanao and the Zamboanga del Norte Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury from the tectonic earthquake.
