A-Labs, a Philippine-based startup accelerator, held its first demo day showcasing five tech startups chosen from over 100 applicants across the nation.
The five startups are Synthillate (fintech), Ridge (AI for food and beverage industry), Gamer Points (ad tech gaming platform), Nexhire (talent marketplace), and Twine (AI-powered social platform).
Selected startups from the program have an opportunity to receive up to P1 million in funding from A-Labs, and exclusive access to the A-Labs Collective, a network of tech entrepreneurs, operators, and investors.
Marking the end of a 12-week intensive mentorship, the event presented the startups' refined business models to an audience that included more than 50 investors.
Following the success of its inaugural incubation program, A-Labs announced the opening of applications for its subsequent ALAB Accelerator Program Cohort 2, underlining its commitment to fostering the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Philippines.

Concluding a rigorous 12-week mentorship, the Demo Day provided startups with a platform to present their refined business models to over 50 investors. Lance Pormarejo, Executive Director of A-Labs, underscored the significance of bolstering Filipino founders in their innovative pursuits.
