Rape suspect nabbed in Batangas

Police arrested a 55-year-old rape suspect on Wednesday morning, August 16, in San Pascual, Batangas.

Batangas police director Police Col. Samson Belmonte identified the suspect as “Leopoldo,” a resident of Taal, Batangas.

The suspect was tagged as most wanted person in the Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon area for violation of Republic Act (RA) 8353, An Act Expanding the Definition of the Crime of Rape.

He allegedly raped a Grade 2 student on August 2, 2017.

Arrest warrant dated June 14, 2018 was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 86, in Taal.

Belmonte thanked the operating teams for their continued operation against wanted persons in Batangas.
