The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday, Aug. 17, warned the public against sharing their personal information, particularly their Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERS) username and password.

PRC issued the advisory to "protect the applicants and professionals" from data breaches that could result in identity theft and unauthorized transactions.
The public and other concerned entities were also asked to refrain from assistance that offers promises to expedite the completion of their government transactions.
It clarified that the commission does not authorize any individual or entity to collect fees for facilitation purposes if they are not directly associated with PRC.
“All officials onsite transactions are only done at PRC offices and with authorized PRC personnel, while PRC online transactions are done through the PRC official website (www.prc.gov.ph) or at online.prc.gov.ph,” PRC noted.
Furthermore, the regulatory body encouraged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or unauthorized transactions involving individuals or entities to the PRC Anti-Red Tape Unit via email at [email protected].
For inquiries, the public can request assistance through the said email address. (Sonny Daanoy)
