Pokwang on having new suitors: 'Ayoko muna ngayon. Hindi 'yan ang kasagutan sa akin'

Pokwang has disclosed that she is currently not involved in any romantic relationships.

In a recent episode of "Dapat Alam Mo" on GMA 7, Pokwang sat down with Kim Atienza and Susan Enriquez on the show "NGL (Not Gonna Lie)" segment. 

Pokwang was asked if anyone was trying to entertain her during a series of questions, but she stated that her focus is now on raising her daughter Malia.

"Maraming nag-a-apply. Kaya lang naku sandali, kapag nalaman niyo ‘yung monthly amortization ko baka hindi na kayo magparamdam, sa ngayon gusto ko magpayaman para sa anak ko," she said. 

(Many are applying. But wait till they hear my monthly amortization; some of them may not see me anymore. Right now, I want to get rich for my daughter.) 

The questions also include whether she would give a foreign suitor another chance, to which Pokwang answered yes. Still, he has to have a job. “Siguro ‘yung may trabaho na, may sarili siyang kita."

(Maybe the one who already has a job, who has his own income) 

During the NGL segment, Pokwang was also asked if she would change her daughter's surname to hers; without hesitation, she answered yes. 

“Yes na yes na yes! Siyempre, deserve ng anak ko ‘yung pangalan na inaalagaan at minamahal siya at binibigyan siya ng oras,” Pokwang said.

(Yes, yes, yes! Of course, my daughter deserves the name of the person who cared, loved, and gave time for her)

Pokwang also said that Malia was not somehow affected by the break up of her parents.

"Mas umiiyak siya kapag wala ako sa tabi niya. Siguro kasi nga kagaya ng sinabi ko wala siyang [Lee] naipundar na bonding sa anak ko, walang emotional investment," she added.

(She cries more when I'm not by her side. Maybe it's because, like I said, he [Lee] has no bond with my daughter, no emotional investment)

Earlier this month, Pokwang filed a deportation and visa cancellation against her former partner Lee O'Brian. Since announcing their break-up in 2022, Pokwang has been very vocal when it comes to her emotion.
