Envoy touts Japanese goods while shopping at PH mall

Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Kazuhiko Koshikawa underscored the ties that bind the Philippines and Japan as he showcased some Japanese brands thriving in Philippine-based malls.

The envoy posted on X (formerly Twitter) about his recent experience while shopping in the Philippines.
While he did not mention the names of the malls, the envoy lauded the presence of Japanese enterprises in the Philippines.
“Mall-hopping Filipino style, and guess what? Spotted some rad Japanese brands! From High-tech gadgets to fashion-forward finds, and of course delicious meals –our nations are vibin'. Let's enjoy our cultures together!,” he wrote.
The ambassador shared photos of some Japanese stores he found, such as Beard Papa’s cream puffs, Gunpla or Gundam Plastic models, Ippudo (ramen shop), and Jins eyewear.

Kazuhiko was even photographed enjoying some cream puffs from the famed pastry shop Beard Papa’s, as well as inside a Gunpla store.
Previously, the ambassador also shared about finding Filipino snacks and condiments in Don Quijote, a famous discount chainstore that can be found across Japan.
Kazuhiko has repeatedly shown his love for Pinoy foods, having tweeted about his love for buko pie (young coconut pie) and bulalo (beef shank soup) in the past.
