A man was arrested by police after he stabbed dead another man in Barangay 101, Tondo, Manila on Thursday morning, Aug. 17.
The Manila Police District identified the suspect as John Mark Agrada, 25, a resident of Barangay 101 in Tondo.
Police said barangay personnel discovered a man bathing in his own blood in a vacant lot in Vitas Katuparan, Barangay 101 in Tondo at 5:40 a.m.
The man, who remains unidentified, was rushed to Tondo Medical Center at around 6 a.m., but he died 43 minutes later from seven stab wounds -- four in the back and three in the neck.
Residents said the victim is not known in the area but some of them witnessed the crime and identified the suspect.
Police conducted a follow-up operation and apprehended the suspect on Mel Lopez Bridge in Tondo.
The suspect is now in the custody of MPD-Raxabago Station (PS-1) and is facing murder charges.
