SUV almost falls off bridge in Samar; occupants safe

TACLOBAN CITY – A Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) almost plunged off a broken bridge in Barangay Adela Heights, Gandara, Samar, on Tuesday, August 15.

The vehicle came from Cavite with four passengers and was reportedly going to Cebu.

Reports disclosed that the vehicle was following a digital map that led them to the bridge about past midnight.

Someone reportedly removed the barricade leading to the bridge which prompted the driver to follow the digital map.

All passengers were rescued and brought to the Gandara Emergency Response Team (GERT). No one was reportedly hurt during the incident.

The SUV was towed back to the road in the morning while the passengers went on to their trip to Cebu.
