Parañaque LGU launches 'Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan'
The Parañaque city government launched the “Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan” on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the City Hall grounds where residents can buy affordable school supplies, uniforms, shoes and food products until Thursday, Aug. 17.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the Consumers Welfare Office conducted the project in time for the opening of the new school year this August.
Aside from school supplies, shoes and bags, the caravan will also be selling fruits and vegetables at affordable prices.
He said the caravan is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Around 34 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMES) are selling farm produced products and frozen food during the caravan.
The participating MSMES include Cada and Duran Farm, FC Homes Appliance, R. Merchandise (Hopewell), Phil. Foremost Milling Corporation, Tender Juicy Hotdog, Magnolia Chicken, Atkins Frozen Products, Reggie’s Empanada, and Ely Shop.
Other establishments that joined in the activity were Sushi, Julie’s Bakeshop, Tea Matteo, Punay Siomai, Jamlyn Native Foods, Emerita Kitchenette, Lemon Day, San Dionisio Credit Cooperative, Sun Valley Credit Cooperative and others.
