P3.9-M shabu seized in Quezon drug sting

LUCENA CITY, Quezon -- Police seized suspected shabu valued at P3,998,400 and apprehended two suspected drug pushers on Tuesday night, August 15, in Purok Damayan 1, Barangay Ibabang Iyam, this city.

Quezon police director Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspects as high-value individuals Angelo Tongo and Judel Gutlay.

Thirteen sachets of suspected shabu weighing 196 grams and a motorcycle were seized from the suspects.

Suspects are in the custody of the Lucena City police and drug-related charges of will ne filed against the suspects.

Monte vowed no letup in their campaign against illegal drugs.

“The Quezon police will continue to engage with the community to cut the implications of illegal drugs. Every result of our operation is a reflection of our extensive campaign for a community that is safe, peaceful, and drives away from the taint of any wrongdoing," Monte said.
