Milisyang Bayan, 10 LMB members yield in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – A former Milisyang Bayan fighter surrendered and 10 members of the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid (LMB) withdrew their support to Alyansang Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL) on August 15.

Reports submitted to Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the police and military facilitated the surrender of “Ka Bruno,” 52, a former member of the Milisyang Bayan from 2001 to 2005 in Pantabangan, this province.

Police facilitated the withdrawal of support of 10 members of the LMB from the AMGL.

They took their oath of allegiance to the government and
are now being assessed to enable them to avail of the government assistance program for rebel returnees.
