The Lucio Tan Group's Philippine Airlines (PAL) will resume regular services between Manila and Tuguegarao with daily flights beginning Oct. 29, 2023.
The new route to Tuguegarao allows convenient travel to the economic center of the Cagayan Valley, not just from Metro Manila but from other points in PAL’s domestic and regional network via Manila.
“We are looking forward to serve Tuguegarao and the people of Cagayan Province with convenient daily flights to and from Manila starting this October," said Captain Stanley K. Ng, PAL President & Chief Operating Officer.
The flag carrier aims to strengthen air connectivity to boost travel between the the Cagayan Valley region and various Philippine tourist and business centers such as Cebu, Davao and Bacolod, as well as key Asian destinations from Bangkok and Jakarta to Hong Kong, he elaborated.
From Oct. 29, PAL's Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila flights will operate daily, departing in the morning.
PR 2014 Manila-Tuguegarao will depart Manila at 09:05 am and arrive in Tuguegarao at 10:10 am.
PR 2015 Tuguegarao-Manila will depart Tuguegarao at 10:50 am and arrive in Manila at 11:50 am.
PAL will operate the flights using a 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft offering both Comfort Class (12 seats) and regular Economy Class (168 seats) services.
Tuguegarao City is the capital of the Province of Cagayan and one of the fastest growing cities in the Philippines, with an estimated population of over 180,000 residents.
Previously, PAL operated Manila to Tuguegarao flights from October 2014 until June 2019.
For services to other areas in Northern Luzon, PAL also offers twice daily flights between Manila and Laoag City in the Ilocos Region.
The flag carrier also offers three weekly flights between Cebu and Baguio City, and daily flights between Manila and Basco, Batanes.
