CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 seized suspected shabu worth P92,220 in Surigao del Norte and Agusan del Norte on Sunday, August 13.
In Agusan del Norte, the Santiago Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Cabadbaran City Police Station (CCPS) seized seven grams of shabu with a total standard drug price of P47,600 during the implementation of search warrants against two high-value individuals in Barangay Poblacion 1, Santiago, Agusan del Norte and Barangay La Union, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.
The two suspects escaped but follow-up operations are ongoing, PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Major Jennifer S. Ometer said.
Ometer said police arrested another HVI in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Washington, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
The 32-year-old suspect yielded a total of 6.10 grams of shabu worth P41,480, Ometer said.
In Barangay Taganito, Claver, Surigao del Norte, the Claver police nabbed a 35-year-old street-level individual after he sold 1.05 grams of shabu to a poseur-buyer.
PRO-13 chief Police Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft commended the operating units for their success in the campaign against illegal drugs.
“As we continue our aggressive operations against illegal drugs, I urge the general public to stand with us in this fight,” Kraft said.
“Our efforts are not merely about apprehending drug personalities but also on demand reduction like conducting symposium and seminars against the ill-effects of illegal drugs.”
