The Parañaque City government conducted a jobseekers' forum and mini job fair wherein a total of 88 job applicants were hired on-the-spot.
Mayor Eric Olivarez gives a pep talk to jobseekers
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the activity was held on Monday, August 14 at the Parañaque City Sports Complex with 30 companies participating and offering 648 jobs.
He said the activity was organized by the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment.
Based on the record of PESO, a total of 225 job applicants participated in the activity and 88 of them were hired on-the-spot.
Olivarez said the city government regularly conducts the jobseekers' forum and mini job fair to help unemployed individuals find a job.
Aside from the mini job fair, the city government conducts mega job fair four times a year, particularly during the cityhood anniversary of the city in February, Labor Day on May 1; June 12 celebration of Philippine Independence Day, and every October.
