Nadine Lustre's inspiring journey

Nadine Lustre's star burns brighter than ever as she secures the prestigious Best Actress plum at the recently concluded 71st Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) awards, for her outstanding portrayal as the ambitious probinsyana Kichi in Yam Laranas' "Greed."

This is not the first time Nadine basked in FAMAS glory. 

In 2019, the award-giving body also named her best actress for her performance in "Never Not Love You."

Nadine has come a long way, indeed.

She actually started her showbiz career via the girl group Pop Girls in 2009.

But she only made her mark in 2014, portraying the now iconic Eya Rodriguez character in the hit movie "Diary ng Panget."

It should be said that, at that point, her popularity was mainly due to fans shipping her and screen partner James Reid.

The two would go on to appear in several projects together, including the series "On the Wings of Love" (2015–2016) and "Till I Met You" (2016–2017) and the aforementioned "Never Not Love You" (2018).

Nadine would further improve her acting abilities in subsequent years as showcased in such film projects as "Ulan" (2019), "Indak" (2019), and "Deleter" (2022). 

From her modest beginnings to her current standing, Nadine Lustre's journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
