Mandaluyong LGU distributes school supplies, uniforms to public school students
The Mandaluyong City local government on Monday, Aug. 14, provided all students of the city's public schools with free school supplies and uniform to gear them up for the coming school year.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos, Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos, and Mandaluyong Schools Division Office (SDO) Superintendent Dr. Aurelio Alfonso lead the distribution of school supplies and uniforms to students in the city.
In a turnover ceremony held at the City Hall, Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos, together with Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos and Mandaluyong Schools Division Office (SDO) Superintendent Dr. Aurelio Alfonso, distributed the uniforms and supplies to the public school students and teachers.
"Kabilang sa mga kagamitang pang-eskwela na matatanggap ng mga estudyante mula daycare, kinder hanggang Grade 12 ay mga notebook, diaries, at school bags. Para naman maiwasan ang paghihiraman sa mga libro, bawat estudyante ay makatatanggap ng mga libro sa lahat ng kanilang mga subject (Included in the school supplies that daycare, and kinder to Grade 12 pupils will receive are notebooks, diaries, and school bags. To prevent them from borrowing books from one another, each student will receive books for all their subjects)," the city government said.
"Makatatanggap din ang mga estudyante ng libreng uniporme kasama ang P.E. uniform, medyas, at sapatos. Mayroon ding cycling shorts para mga babaeng estudyante sa elementary at high school, at black tights para sa mga estudyante sa daycare at kinder (Students will also receive free uniforms which include P.E. uniforms, socks, and shoes. Cycling shorts will also be provided for female elementary and high school students, while black tights will be distributed to daycare and kinder pupils)," it added.
Mayor Abalos said the local government unit (LGU) conducts the distribution of school supplies and uniforms to its learners yearly to lessen the financial burden on their parents and maintain the focus of its learners on learning.
Meanwhile, Alfonos expressed his gratitude to the city government for its support to public school students and personnel.
