It said that in the early morning of Aug. 15, “Taeil got into an accident while riding his motorcycle home from work and was taken to the hospital for a detailed examination and treatment.”

“As a result of the examination, he was diagnosed with a fracture [or broken bone] in his right thigh, and medical staff advised that he needed surgery,” it said.

It added “Currently, Taeil is recovering and receiving necessary treatment at the hospital ahead of her surgery.”

As a result, Taeil has suspended all his schedule to focus on treatment and recovery. Taeil will not be able to attend the “NCT Nation: To The World” concert on Aug. 26 at Incheon Munhak Stadium.

“We sincerely apologize for causing concern to fans with the sudden news. We will put the artist's health first, and focus on Taeil's recovery so that he can meet fans with a healthy appearance again,” SM Entertainment said.

Taeil is also a member of the subunit NCT 127.
