Shaila Rebortera breaks silence relating alleged 'abuse'

"No more suffering in silence."

This is what beauty queen Shaila Rebortera wrote on social media revealing the alleged "physical, verbal and emotional abuse" she has suffered in the hands of a person she didn't name.

Note though that the 2021 Miss Multinational Philippines titleholder surprised many only days ago, divulging via social media her relationship with actor Rob Gomez replete with photos of them together and their child.

She created bigger noise a little later uploading pictures of her bruised arms.

Hiyas Ng Pilipinas Visayas Director Kenneth Malayka Yamas even reacted to the post.

In her latest post, Shaila detailed, "After over a year of being silent about the abuse, I'm happy I was able to speak my truth. Just hours after the photos of the bruises were uploaded, his mother asked for me to say sorry in exchange for being able to stay with them. I decided to leave."

Though she didn't name names,  many believe Shaila is referring to Rob and the latter's mom, former actress Kate Gomez, daughter of the late, great awarded actor George Estregan.

Shaila continued: "Since that day, so many girls have reached out to tell me either about the same physical, verbal and emotional abuse they have experienced from him or about the cheating incidents that happened all the while he was keeping our relationship and our baby "private" for his career. I feel sick hearing about all these now."

Nonetheless, she stressed how "grateful" she is to everyone who has shown her "support" and has "helped" her get back on her feet.

"To those who messaged me to let me know I'm not alone, thank you," she told them.

Shaila ended her post, declaring: "I know I should have spoken sooner, but the next best time is now."

As of writing, Rob is still silent.

Though a few days ago, Kate granted an interview with PEP.ph, admitting that Shaila and her eight-month-old granddaughter Amelia have left their home.

According to her, Rob didn't hide them but didn't want to "flaunt" them either.

“Hindi masasabing idinenay sila ni Robert. Hindi lang ipinu-flaunt ni Robert. Pero sa ospital, sa mga check-up sa doktor, sa bakasyon, magkasama sila. Hindi siya itinatago," was how she put it.

Kate said that when Shaila got pregnant, Rob actually asked the latter's hand in marriage.

The two were actually set to tie the knot last year only that Kate's father-in-law died.

"E, pure Chinese ang family ng husband ko. Sa tradisyon ng mga Chinese, kapag may namatay, two years na hindi puwedeng magpakasal, mag-celebrate ng birthdays, at bawal magsuot ng pula," actor Gary Estrada's sister explained.

"Kaya nakiusap ako kay Shaila kung puwedeng i-delay ang wedding. Aside from that, meron siyang crown [Miss Multinational Philippines] na iniingatan that time. Dapat nga may competition pa siya kaya lang parang na-cancel. Blessing din naman na-cancel kasi buntis siya."
