Parañaque Mayor Olivarez recognizes 'Palaro' gold, silver medalist
A local athlete who competed and won four medals in the swimming competition during the recently held 63rd Palarong Pambansa in Marikina City was recognized by Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez on Monday, Aug. 14.

Olivarez said the city government recognized Krystal Ava David, a resident of Barangay Merville, for giving pride to the city.
David won two gold medals and two silver medals in the said swimming competition. She won the gold in the 50-and 100- meters breaststroke event; and another gold in the 200-meter individual medley. Her silver medals were won in the 200-meter freestyle and 4x10-meter free relay categories.
The mayor thanked David for her exemplary talents and contributions, and asked the City Council to pass a resolution to grant a cash incentive to the athlete.
