CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna – Police seized suspected shabu worth P188,000 in a buy-bust operation in Santa Cruz, this province, on Sunday, August 13.
Police Col. Harold Depositar, Laguna police chief, identified the suspect as “Edward,” a resident of the municipality.
Edward, who was in the police drug watchlist, yielded 18 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 27.66 grams with an estimated street value of P188,000.
The suspect is in the custody of the Santa Cruz police while the pieces of evidence have been submitted to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.
Edward faces a drug-related complaint.
Depositar lauded the Santa Cruz police for arresting Edward. "This shall serve as stern warning to those who are planning to find easy money in the illegal drug business," Depositar said.
