BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.2 earthquake jolted Sultan Kudarat on Monday morning, August 14.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake was recorded at 3:05 a.m. and its epicenter was plotted 156 kilometers (kms) southwest of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
The tremor had a depth of 520 kms, Phivolcs said.
The Office of Civil Defense in Central Mindanao and Sultan Kudarat Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury from the tremor.
