Philippine Fashion Circle Awards set for October in Okada Manila

The spotlight is set to shine on Philippine fashion's finest as PFCA Charities presents the “Philippine Fashion Circle Awards II: A Salute to Philippine Fashion.”
Set on Oct. 25, 2023, starting at 4 p.m. at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom, the event is presented by VM Design. It will mark the launch of the Fashion 360 Awards, which aims to recognize excellence in fashion design and lifestyle innovation.
Distinguished patrons, recognized as “Ambassadors of Hope,” will take to the runway while generously contributing to PFCA charities.
The Okada Manila will once again be home to the event. A contract signing to book the venue was recently held at Okada Manila’s Lobby Lounge. PFCA designers’ awards will be given to the best designs using a mix of indigenous and commercial materials. The finished creations will also be modeled on the runway.
The gala fashion show fill spotlight the collections of Albert Andrada and Amir Sali.
Two special segments will also be presented in collaboration with BrandAsia: the Contoura Medica Art + Beauty Event and the Philippine Fashion Wear Show and Awards for fashion excellence in the retail industry sector.
Departed luminaries who have shaped and defined the fashion industry will also be honored.
All proceeds from sponsorships and fundraising will be turned over to the PFCA Sunshine Village. This is a sustainable community initiative dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged, elderly, and disabled members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are in their sunset years. Other beneficiaries include the Sweet Haven Rehabilitation Center in Cebu and the Home for Abandoned Babies of the Carmelite Sisters in Zamboanga.
The PFCA will confer the Legendary Grand Master of Style award on Michael Cinco for his exemplary contribution toward gaining global recognition for Filipino designers.
There will be three categories in PFCA's Fashion 360 Awards: a) Fashion Trailblazers, which recognizes new, emerging, and trendsetting accomplishments; b) Fashion Visionaries, which will commend those who set new benchmarks in the industry; and c) Pillars of Philippine Fashion, celebrating enduring masterpieces that have stood the test of time.
