MPD hunts down man who stabbed father in front of son
Operatives from Manila Police District said on Sunday, Aug. 13, that they are hunting down a man who allegedly stabbed another man in front of his son last Aug. 11 in Tondo, Manila.
According to MPD-Raxabago Station (PS1), the suspect, identified as alias “Brutus,” managed to flee after stabbing the victim on the left part of his ribs.
PS1 identified the victim as Laudener Depano, 39, resident of Barangay 118, Tondo.
Police said the victim and his son went out of their house to go to his wife's store.
While walking, a man suddenly approached the victim.
Witnesses said the suspect and victim got into a heated argument before the suspect stabbed the victim twice. He ran towards an unknown direction.
The victim was rushed to Mary Johnston Hospital for medical treatment and is still under observation.
Police are still conducting an in-depth investigation to arrest the suspect.
