GMA tops performance survey among Central Luzon solons; Robes, Khonghun close by

House Deputy Speaker and formed president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo led a recent performance survey among congressmen in Central Luzon, garnering a score of over 90 percent. 

The public satisfaction survey was carried out from June 25 to July 5, 2023 by the RP Mission and Development Foundation Inc.(RPMD). A total of 10,000 respondents was tapped for the survey. 

Closely following Arroyo, who represents Pampanga's 2nd district, were San Jose del Monte City lone district Rep. Florida "Rida" Robes and Zambales 1st district Rep. Jefferson "Jay" Khonghun. 

The three solons garnered scores of 90.3 percent, 89.7 percent, and 89.5 percent, respectively, as they bested other House members hailing from Central Luzon. 

Dr. Paul Martinez, executive director of RPMD, said Arroyo, Robes, and Khonghun were statistically tied in the ratings for first place. 

Arroyo, also a former House Speaker and senior deputy speaker, served as Philippine president from 2001 to 2010. 

Robes is the chairperson of the Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, while Khonghun is the vice chairman of the Committees on Bases Conversion, on Energy, on Higher and Technical Education, and on Nuclear Energy. 

Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio "Dong" Gonzales Jr. of Pampanga, Linabelle Ruth Villarica of Bulacan, and Rommel Rico Angara of Aurora were clumped in the second place with scores of 87.6 percent, 87.3 percent, and 87.1 percent, respectively. 

Meanwhile, Reps. Mikaela Angela Suansing of Nueva Ecija and Lorna Silverio of Bulacan shared third place with scores of 85.9 percent and 85.2 percent, respectively.
