BUTUAN CITY – Police here inaugurated its new forensics unit building on Friday, August 11.
Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft led the inauguration of the 30-square-meter building adjacent to the Regional Forensics Unit-13 along with PNP Forensics Group chief Police Brig. Gen. Constancio T. Chinayog Jr.
The event was officiated by Regional Pastoral Officer-13 Police Major Lorenzon R. Ruga.
The Butuan City police Forensics Unit under the leadership of Police Lt. Col. Anamelisa S. Bacani would cater to forensics investigation here, mobilizing science and technology with police officers equipped with technical skills.
Various stakeholders, private entities, and city government officials were cited for their invaluable support to the completion of the project.
Kraft said that the new building signifies the unwavering commitment of the PNP to truth and justice, adding that collaboration shall be instrumental in upholding the rule of law.
“Allow me to highlight that this unit is not just a physical space; it is a symbol of collaboration among the local government units, law enforcement agencies, and stakeholders,” he said.
“No matter how hard we work to solve crimes and incidents, we will never succeed without the support and cooperation of our partners, including the community along the way.”
The event was attended by the command group, regional staff, and the men and women of PRO-13, and guests.
